For detection of E.coli O157.
 
Principle:
Peptone,tryptone provide nitrogen vitamins and growth factors; sodium chloride to maintain osmotic equilibrium; sorbitol as fermentable sugars;  bile, crystal violet, potassium tellurite and cefixime against gram Gram-positive bacteria; neutral red as pH indicator; agar as medium coagulant.
 
Formulation（per liter）:
Tryptone 17g
Peptccomplex 3g
Bile 5g
Sodium chloride 5g
Agar 15g
Sorbitol 10g
Crystal violet 0.001g
Neutral red 0.025g
Final pH7.2 ± 0.2
 
How to use：
1.Suspend 55g in 1 L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling until completely dissolved, distribute into flask,autoclave at 121℃ for 15 minutes.
2.Diluted and treated samples.
 
Storage: Keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place, away from bright light. Storage period of 3 years.
